Burnsy:
I suggest to arrive on Friday, have a sleep and have a rest, so that in Sat morning you dont miss anything...
To organizers:
Please, could you confirm camping prices, and other fees, again? Will there be an entry fee for the meeting or is it for free? Will there be a common eating (cooking or frying at campfire)? Should we take ingredients for that?
An idea: it would be useful to have a sticker (namecard-sized plastic holder + a slice of paper) for everyone, displaying name AND country...
regards
Zoli

dinner - 30-150

I plan to leave around Tuesday and get a couple of nights camping on the way. This isn't 100% decided but is something that would be nice.

That sounds good. If you can come up with a landmark that we could easily identify when entering Pilsen it'll be superb. It's normally the last stretch of road that people get lost!!!
One question for everyone, will anyone be using an AM or FM radio transmitter? I've a President Lincoln sat in the cupboard that could be fitted and if others are using it perhaps a frequency can be chosen for all users?
Burnsy.

Nice! Is that a CB(27Mhz)? If yes, it would be cool to specify one channel where we could meet and talk...there are a few cars from the Prague-group which are equipped with CBs. For example mine(Stabo XM 5000):

Hi,
Estonian Ladas will arrive to Krakow on the friday early morning and will meet there with one Poland Lada fan Fleszer- we are coming together to Czech. We think we will arrive ~17.00.
On friday we will meet on Bechyne? Can also any organizer send me privat message with his/her mobile number? We do not want to "get lost" if we are already there..
Thank you very much

Guys
is this thing compatible with PMR radio?
in hungary pmr is allowed and preferred.. as far as I know "CB" is not allowed anyomore.
at Polish lada meetings I saw big aerial (antenna), are those cb or pmr in your cars?
I plan to buy a pmr radio for the meeting. (well, a PAIR of radios
) Some of our fellows already have those radios. My friend uses this one:
http://www.alan-uk.com/alan/products/co ... an456r.htm
it can be tuned a few easy ways: increasing sensitivity; increasing output power; modding aerial plug to BNC + using a big aerial
getting lost: PLEASE guys, it can NOT be a problem to reach a village known in our maps! So that everyone _will_ get to Bechyne, I am sure. Problem is to find the exact spot of the event. For this, Polish guys used a simple and great method: tables were set in the village, pointing towards the camping. (a LADA logo + an arrow, everywhere). You could enter the village from any direction, you found these arrows.

I have no idea why CB shouldn't be allowed. It means Citizen Band...there are diferencies only in the way of modulation, in Czech/Slovak Republic isn't AM allowed anymore, FM is allowed on 80 channels(B+C band).
CB(27Mhz) is not compatible with PMR(446Mhz)...
My opinion is, that a big aerial is used for CB, because of the 11m wavelength...
there are some people in Brno-group using PMR, but without external aerial, so the range and modulation quality isn't as good as with CB...

here's the complete list of allowed channels and their frequencies:
http://www.sweb.cz/nachodsko/cb3.html
BUT! some of us have older radio transmitters, which can handle only the basic 40 channels, which are:
MhZ Channel No.

26,9750 CB 2
26,9850 CB 3
27,0050 CB 4
27,0150 CB 5
27,0250 CB 6
27,0350 CB 7
27,0550 CB 8
27,0650 CB 9
27,0750 CB 10
27,0850 CB 11

27,2550 CB 23
27,2650 CB 26
27,2750 CB 27
27,2850 CB 28
27,2950 CB 29
27,3050 CB 30
27,3150 CB 31
27,3250 CB 32
27,3350 CB 33
27,3450 CB 34
27,3550 CB 35

27,3750 CB 37
27,3850 CB 38
27,3950 CB 39
27,4050 CB 40
No. 9 is the emergency channel, No. 10 is used by truckers, so I'd prefer to use some of the channels between 11-17 or 30-40, depending on which one'll be free. Do you agree?

DEAR organizers,
as far as I heard, there is a real heavy difficulty with the originally planned accomodation.
Now there is only a limited number of bongalows, 40-50 beds altogether,
and on the top of that, the soil is so wet/soft that it is impossible to use tents.
Therefore all those who miss the bongalow beds have to sleep in their car, or solve accomodation on themselves...
please, is that true? can you provide us some details?
:(:(
btw: do we know how much cars/ppl will visit? as far as I know there is no registration for the event.
regards
Zoli

To tell the truth I cannot manage an accomodation there for myself. I dont speak yo language, etc. If there will be no _sure_ tent place or camping or enough bongalows, I have to cancel the travel.
